It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.This course is an introduction to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children and young people. The course will include the latest understanding of the major features of ASD and the ways in which they manifest themselves in children and young people. In addition, strategies to support children and young people with ASD will be considered.
Aim:
- To increase awareness of ASD in children and young people;
- To build confidence and competence when working with children and young people with ASD and their families;
- To explore case studies to consider whether or not children have ASD traits and to problem solve difficulties children with ASD may experience.
This course is suitable for people working with children, young people and their families, who wants to find out more about ASD.
