It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

The female members of staff and volunteers would like to welcome you to celebrate International Women’s Day.

International Women's Day is a worldwide day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. On this day they would like to reflect on progress and achievements of those women who made Fife their home and how they have contributed  to their new community. This day is also about celebrating the acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their communities. This year topic is” We rise by lifting each other’  and would be honoured if you could attend.

Last year on International Women’s Day, they brought together 140 women from over 20 different countries which were the largest gathering of women in Kirkcaldy for some time. It was great to have you hear women talk about women’s passions, and achievements. They discussed how to promote strong and intelligent women into positions where they can grow their career. They also spoke at length about motherhood and the limited time women have for personal development. They were keen to promote the value of working in partnership with the public sector and third sector.

They stand together in the hope of change for those women with limited opportunities and those without voices in  Fife, Scotland and the World. They strongly believe in challenging inequality daily, they stand in solidarity and join in one voice for all women in Fife. They hope that you are interested in being part of this special day and would appreciate if you could let them know if you are able to attend on the day.
