    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    Did you know that it is estimated that around 15% of the workforce have symptoms of an existing mental health condition? Or that only 17% of disabled people were born with their disabilities? In fact, the majority of disabled people acquire their disability later in life.

    According to SeeMe, the average employer of 25 employees can expect mental health issues to cost their business around £18,943 a year.

    The good news is that there is lots of support out there, and with a few simple steps, employers can cut those costs by 30% and with a small investment they can be reduced further still.

    To learn how, you are invited to attend this training session to learn more about disability and health support agencies and projects available in Fife. The training session will include input from:

    • Department for Work and Pensions’ Disability Confident
    • Department for Work and Pensions’ Access to Work
    • The new Health & Work Support pilot
    • The Just: ASK, LISTEN, TALK (j:ALT) toolkit for employers (created by Fife Council Supported Employment Service and the Workplace Team, Health Promotion Service)
    • Workplace Team, Health Promotion Service

    Please note this training session is aimed at employer engagement staff.

    The aim of the session is for employer engagement staff to:

    • Hear about key local and national health and disability related support for employers based in Fife;
    • Feel confident to know how and when to connect employers to key support services; and
    • To meet the relevant local contacts for these services

    Please share the event with any relevant contacts.
