    Post: Family Support Worker

    Hours: 20 per week

    Salary: NJC point 10-13 (£20,751-£22,021) pro rata

    Purpose of the job:

    To provide intensive practical and emotional support to families who are vulnerable and hard to reach.

    Main Responsibilities

    •  visiting families in their own homes (as agreed with Co-ordinators) to offer one to one support;
    •  encouraging and assisting families to access Home-Start Kirkcaldy’s family support group and creche;
    • assisting families to access other local services and attend appointments;
    • ensuring effective records are kept.

    This post is temporary until March 2020 with a possibility of an extension, subject to funding. It is subject to a PVG check.
