    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

    This programme is focused on strengthening club sport by investing in sport clubs that can significantly deliver on:

    • growth in club membership; and/or
    • growth in clubs which provide the correct environment to develop athletes to performance levels.

    It will prioritise clubs who explicitly target:

    • providing opportunities for those from disadvantaged areas to get involved in sport and physical activity;
    • engaging with women and girls, people with a disability and young people to get them involved in sport and physical activity;
    • increasing the number and quality of coaches and deliverers from SIMD areas working with clubs in SIMD areas.

    It offers investment to support club development over a period of 2-4 years, giving the club time to embed significant developmental change.
