In this workshop they will discuss caring for your garden with nature in mind, how to weed mindfully and what to do with these weeds. You will be introduced to the ideas of permaculture, biodynamics and organic gardening, all of which work with, rather than against, nature. They'll look at what you traditionally think of as weeds and how you can use them in purposeful ways. They will also look at the basics and methods of composting and how to make compost tea to boost the health of your gardens. Taking a mindful approach, they will harvest some Comfrey for you to take home and make your own plant food.

The tutor for the class will be Simone Melanie from Solar Ripe. There will be a mix of theory and practical hands-on activities, including walking around the garden. No experience necessary. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and walking footwear. There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
