    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

LEAP are pleased to announce that small grant applications are now open for Festival Fortnight 2019. These small grants are designed to provide financial support for sports, community and youth groups interested in running an event for Scotland's only LGBTI sports festival. If you do not fit this criteria, you can still run an event for Festival Fortnight by listing it here

    Why participate?
Festival Fortnight is open to anyone who wants to run an event during the two week period. Running a sport, cultural, social, academic or recreational event for FF can benefit you in a multitude of ways. Every group or organisation is different, but you might find FF aids you in attracting more LGBTI members, helps you show solidarity with the LGBTI sporting community, increases your awareness of the issues at play, or facilitates celebration of LGBTI participation and identity in sport.

    Interested in running an event?
Your Festival Fortnight event must take place between 17 -30 June and meet one of the following aims:

    • To increase the visibility of LGBTI people in sport
    • To increase the participation of LGBTI people in sport
    • To raise awareness of LGBTI issues in sport
    • To raise awareness of wider equality and human rights issues in sport

For some event ideas, why not check out last years programme or our Partner Handbook, which also contains useful information on how the festival works.
