All employees have basic rights in the workplace. It is important for us all to understand these rights and to know what we are entitled to. In keeping with the current focus on human rights in Fife, we have organised a series of training sessions on Employment and Equality Law.
The training sessions, aimed at frontline employability staff, will help people to have a better understanding of employment rights, disclosing personal information and how to get help.
Understand the relevance of employment rights in the local, national and human rights context
Identify the impact of employment and equality rights on their clients
Gain an understanding of basic employment and equality rights in the workplace
Understand how to assist clients to consider the disclosure of personal information
Understand core relevant workplace policies and procedures
Understand how to signpost clients for help in the above areas
The training will be delivered by Kathleen Bolt Mediation Services Ltd. Kathleen is a solicitor and mediator, she specialises in employment and equality law and workplace mediations.
All participants will receive a certification of attendance.
Please note: there is no parking available at New Volunteer House. However Kirkcaldy train station is just a short walk away with plenty of free parking spaces.
