  • Using Befriending evidence to inform commissioning in Fife

    Created: 17/01/2019
News/Events Category: Partnerships, Networks and Forums

You are invited to a session to learn about how Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Voluntary Action and Partnership-funded befriending services have worked together over the past 3 years, through the Threading the Needle programme, to move towards evidence-informed commissioning.

Threading the Needle is a Scottish Government funded programme to support health and social care commissioners use third sector evidence to commission outcomes for health and social care.

    You will hear how:

    • we developed From the Source to the Sea – a resource which illustrates the theory of change behind befriending and how such services can help Fife Partnership address its priorities and the nine national health and wellbeing outcomes
    • we revised Service Level Agreements and reporting templates to make them outcome focused.
    • self-evaluation evidence collected by befriending services has been gathered and shared and how we plan to use it to inform commissioning

    When: 1.30 - 4.30pm, Thursday 07 February 2019

Where: Craig Mitchell House, Flemington Road, Glenrothes, KY7 5QF

Moving forward we are planning to host a session crafting possible befriending service briefs for the Health and Social Care Partnership for future commissioning potential.
