Fife Funders Fayre (morning session)
Created: 25/10/2018, Updated: 15/11/2018Please note: the morning session is fully subscribed. There are still a few places left in the afternoon session.
Fife Voluntary Action (FVA) and Fife Council are hosting their latest, annual Funders Fayre on 28 November 2018 in Glenrothes.
This free event will be an ideal opportunity to speak directly with a wide variety of funders including The Big Lottery, Foundation Scotland, Robertson Trust, Tesco Bags of Help Community Fund, Fife Environment Trust, Sports Scotland, Heritage Lottery, Scottish Land Fund, BBC Children in Need, The Corra Foundation and Cash Back for Community to name a few.
This will be run as an informal marketplace - approach the stalls of funders of interest and speak to them about your project idea, pick up brochures, application forms and so on. Some funders will be able to spend time speaking to you one-to-one about your project idea.
The venue has a safety capacity limit and we want people to have a good experience, so booking is essential.
As well as funders, there will be some key agencies there to provide information and support, such as OSCR (Scotland's Charity Regulator), FVA's volunteering team and the team at FVA that supports hundreds of community groups, voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises every year. Fife Council's Community Investment Team will be on hand to help identify appropriate funding sources from a list of hundreds of funders across the UK.
FVA will be conducting organisational healthchecks throughout the day - a great way of finding areas of improvement and getting top tips from us on how to be even better, ensuring you've got the right legal structure and much more. All of this support from FVA is free of charge.
FVA will be running optional 60-90 minute workshops covering:
All of these sessions are free to attend and open to senior staff or Trustees/committee members. All 5 workshops will run in the morning and then again in the afternoon.
Once you've booked your place at the Funders Fayre, we'll give you the link to book at any of the optional workshops running during the day.
Priority will be given to those organisations that FVA and/or Fife Council's Community Investment Team are already supporting with funding proposals. We will operate a waiting list for all other organisations. We will also limit the number of places per organisation to an absolute maximum of 2, to allow as many organisations to benefit as possible.
