  • National Churches Trust - Project Development Grants

    Created: 09/07/2018
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

The Project Development grant programme is a pilot grant programme offering awards up to £10,000 to support churches to become more sustainable through the diagnosis of issues affecting the church, by testing the viability of proposed solutions to improve sustainability, and through development of guiding policies and plans that will be implemented through an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund, or other large church heritage funders.

The grants are likely to assist with the cost of staff time- such as a project manager or a professional advisor- and/or to produce a report that will help progress the project plans to a stage where they can be considered by large grant-giving bodies and to meet RIBA stage 1 requirements. Buildings must have been built as churches originally and 50% of the funds need to have be raised. The application process begins with an eligibility quiz. If you are eligible you will be able to continue to the application form.

    Next deadline: 29th August 2018
