Report Launch - A job worth doing: A brief research report into the role of Fife’s third sector as an employer
Created: 12/06/2018Fife Voluntary Action (FVA) are delighted to launch “A job worth doing: A brief research report into the role of Fife’s third sector as an employer”.
A Job Worth Doing has been produced by FVA after conducting research during the latter part of 2017.
The report looks at the third sector in Fife as an employer – specifically the scale and make-up of the workforce, and the specific challenges and opportunities the sector faces. The research touched on volunteering but the key focus was on paid employment.
With responses from over 100 local, regional and national organisations and data on 2,606 employees the report compiles the largest ever survey of Fife’s third sector as employers.
This report is integral to understanding the challenges and opportunities facing third sector employers in Fife as distinct from the public and private sectors and in showcasing the sizeable role the sector plays in contributing to key objectives such as Inclusive Growth in the Plan 4 Fife.
