Created: 15/05/2018Local Energy Scotland - CARES Innovation Fund
The Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) is now open for applications. A £5 million pot of funding is available across three different grants and loans.
This Scottish Government funded grant has been designed to improve the viability of larger CARES capital projects by grant funding elements of the renewable/local energy system project. It can also fund local energy system innovation activity. It seeks to support organisations taking forward innovative local energy projects aligned with CARES objectives, and wherever possible for this innovation to lead to significant benefits through learning outcomes. It can specifically support projects or pilots of new approaches and actions, demonstrator projects and those that innovate to overcome common challenges where local ownership, community involvement and/or community benefits are at the heart of the projects developed. Applications for deadline is 04 June 2018.
