About this opportunity: | Fife Young Carers is a growing organisation that works with young and young adult carers throughout Fife. They have just received a Fife Civic Recognition Award which recognised the incredible work they did to support young carers in Fife during lockdown and beyond. The Board would like to attract people who can offer their time and skills to join them as trustees. The role will provide advice and assistance in the important service of providing support to young carers. They are seeking individuals with a wide variety of skills and expertise, these include but are not limited to anyone with the following skills: -Communications -Fundraising capabilities -Social media -Treasurer The Board meets approx every 6 weeks for 2-3 hours as a full Board, then flexibly, as required. At present they meet virtually but hope to return to face to face meetings soon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Training provided: | Induction, training, and ongoing support will include an opportunity to meet with the Chairperson one to one, as well as time with the other Board members. This can be formally and informally. Formal input from Fife Voluntary Action on Roles & Responsibilities will be advised when available. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Experience required: | An interest in young/young adult carers. Specific skills that would be helpful but not essential: communications; fundraising; social media; financial/treasurer. A willingness to give back and shape the direction of a developing organisation. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
