    About this opportunity:Largo Communities Together (LCT), operating since 2017 with a purpose to enable the people of Largo, Lundin Links, Woodside, New Gilston, Newburn and Drumeldrie to enhance community life by supporting and developing sustainable initiatives. LCT consults with residents and community groups to establish their needs/wants, and partners with organisations and groups to deliver solutions. Key projects are working to establish community access to the Largo Estate, the restoration of Largo Pier, the creation of Largo Area Coronavirus Response Team to deliver essential services during the pandemic and they are currently working on a Local Place Plan.

    The Treasurer will be expected to review existing financial procedures, attend monthly meetings of the management committee, present a monthly report on Income and Expenditure, complete online banking transactions and oversee the bank account, make suggestions for funding options for projects and events, and assist in the preparation of annual accounts for independent examination.

    Your commitment will be about two hours per week, plus attendance at monthly meetings. LCT is a dynamic, ambitious organisation and is looking for an experienced, community minded individual who can add their energy and ideas to the group.

    Training provided:The volunteer will be given ongoing training and support by the current Treasurer, who will remain involved in LCT as a Trustee. Free Roles & Responsibilities of a Board Member training is available from Fife Voluntary action.
    Experience required:Book-keeping, accounting or financial experience. Good organisational skills. Good communication and people skills. Ability to work alone and get things done. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to discussions.

    Travel DetailsLCT is based at Largo Library and Community Hub, Lundin Links, KY8 6BH. Monthly management committee meetings typically take place in the library. Recently, meetings have been held virtually via Zoom.
