About this opportunity: | North East Fife District Scout Council are the lead for all scouting in the North East Fife Area. The executive Committee are responsible for overseeing the management of scouting resources and ensuring the different groups are supported in providing the scouting activities to meet the aims of the Scout Movement. The Secretary has a voting role and would be a Trustee of the Council forming part of the Executive Committee. The role primarily requires to recording and circulation of the minutes of the Council, circulation of Agendas in consultation with the District Commissioner and the Chair. Acting as a point of contact to circulate correspondence from the UK, Scottish and Regional levels of the organisation (generally via email). Assisting in identifying media sources that can be used to recruit adult members and publish/circulate news worthy items that would assist in furthering the aims of scouting in the area. |

Training provided: | Support directly from the District Commissioner with mandatory online training requirements to outline the purpose of Scouting, GDPR, Trustee responsibilities etc. These modules take about 40 minutes each and must be completed within 5 months of appointment |
Experience required: | Basic Computer skills, noting minutes and actions, interpersonal skills, |
Restrictions on who can volunteer | Adult volunteers will require a Disclosure Scotland Certificate to work with young people |

Travel Details | Meetings are currently held virtually via Zoom however when permitted meetings will generally be held in Cupar. |
