Lucky Ewe is seeking to bring extra energy and a wider perspective to its trustee group as they grow this new educational charity in NE Fife. They would love to recruit 1 or 2 trustees, who work well with others, and have the experience and foresight to help steer Lucky Ewe forward. They are particularly interested in individuals with a financial or farming background, but all volunteers will be very kindly considered. Lucky Ewe trustees work always in the best interests of the charity, helping to keep the public informed of their work, helping to keep clear financial records and helping with fundraising. Trustees who want to volunteer in practical tasks on farm are also most welcome. Though not in itself a management position, it is important that our trustees work well with the appointed part-time staff at Lucky Ewe
The volunteer will have a guided tour of farm facilities, an in-depth discussion with one or more trustees covering the aims and activities of the charity and get another trustee appointed as a ‘buddy’

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
