OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Families First is a small independent Charity working with children aged 5 - 16 years, living in North East Fife who have additional support needs. The challenges children face include Autism, poor physical and mental health, social problems such as isolation and poverty.
Our overall objectives are to strengthen the social and emotional development of children, young people and their parents and carers so they become effective contributors to their communities.
The trustees offer strategic guidance and provide a governance role to Families First as an organisation. The trustees are looking for new members who can offer their skills and expertise to support Families First's mission "Families First work alongside children, young people and their families to overcome the personal challenges they face in life."
We are looking for trustees with expertise in finance, fundraising, law and children's work. Along with your skills and expertise, the trustees are looking for people who value the difference small charities can make to local communities.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays 
Fridays Saturdays Sundays Training provided: A full induction pack will be provided including policy, procedure, good practice guidance, business plans and annual reports. a PowerPoint presentation on becoming a trustee, child and adult protection, an introduction to our children's services. Experience required: Experience in finance, law, fundraising and children's work. Restrictions on who can volunteer
