Independent of but work closely with the council to develop policies to benefit tenants and residents and enable TRAs to become effective representatives for their communities by providing support, information and advice. FFOTRA want to be out there more getting to know the community as well as being seen to be more actively supporting tenants. Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
