The Homelands Trust is looking for a Trustee with a financial background to assist with an exciting period of growth and development. The Trust opened its first self-catering lodges in September 2014. These lodges have proved to be extremely popular reaching 80% occupancy in the year ending December 31st 2016. Ensuring the financial stability of the Trust, protecting and managing the Trust's property and investment portfolio. Acting in the best interests of the Trust and avoiding any conflict of interest. Creating and presenting budgets, management accounts, business plans, strategic plans, etc. Ensuring suitable accounting procedures are in place and that external scrutiny is carried out in the manner required.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
