YMCA-YWCA work with partners to deliver learning opportunities, social interaction, one-to-one support and a meeting space. Each week there are around 400 people accessing our facilities, classes, clubs, workshops and outreach project, Cupar Youth Cafe at Castlehill. However, this takes a commitment from both the staff team and management committee to deliver positive, well supported and organised activities and experiences. The organisation is currently looking to gain the support of individuals who have the skills and experience to be an asset to our organisation and committee. The committee meets monthly to mange its affairs and helps the staff and volunteer team to drive its work forward. Working together collectively enables the Y to sit at the heart of our community playing an effective and vital role in Cupar.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
