Fairway Fife is a Peer Mentoring Charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism from 16 years of age. They are making a positive difference by recruiting professionally supported committed volunteers who can support their young adults on their exciting journey. Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
