The Board of Directors of Fife Carers Centre has a vacancy. We are an active local charity working with unpaid adult carers and the people they care for throughout the Fife area. We need people who can offer their time and skills to help this important service continue to grow and develop. Directors of the Fife Carers Centre take the final responsibility for the direction of the organisation and together the Board require a variety of skills and expertise that complement each other to ensure the success of the organisation. If you think you have some of the skills we require and have a few hours each month to spare then please contact Fife Carers Centre for further details and an application form.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
