Museum Trustee Volunteer Opportunity No. VO103151 - Created/last updated: 27/05/2025 | ![]() Opportunity |
About this opportunity: | Located in Anstruther, the Scottish Fisheries Museum was founded in 1969, to collect, record and interpret the history of the fishing industry in Scotland. The museum is a registered charity, and holds over 65,000 artefacts, including two operational vessels. It is an Accredited museum and holds a Recognised collection of national significance. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, fostering excellence, and contributing to the enrichment of the communities it serves. This role would suit passionate people committed to the values of The Scottish Fisheries Museum, who are able to offer their time to support its strategic direction. The Museum wants to connect with and learn from a variety of perspectives and networks, especially those currently under-represented within our organisation. You wouldn't be expected to represent specific groups, but to bring your full self, life experience and unique lens. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
