About this opportunity:The Inverkeithing Old Town House is a community run space in Inverkeithing for local clubs, events and

    organisation.
They are looking for new board members to help govern the organisation and bring their project to life. As a
board member you will play a role in strategic decision making and ensuring the project meets its aims in
    serving the local community.

helping to shape the direction of this historical community asset then this may be the perfect opportunity for
    you.
Get in touch if you would like more information or would like to come along to their next board meeting to
meet the other members and see how you might contribute to their organisation.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!

Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
