    About this opportunity:Oor Wee Cafe is an initiative, which was established in 2018 to address food insecurity and social isolation issues throughout the Kelty Area. The Community Cafe works as a "hub" for the local community, attended by 50 participants every week. The cafe has a positive and welcoming atmosphere, providing a place for people to meet and socialise reducing social isolation and community disconnection and it is at the heart of the local community run by people from the local community.
    Oor Wee Café and Pantry are looking for someone to take over the role of Treasurer and join their Board of Trustees. The role of Treasurer involves:

    * Overseeing the financial governance of the organisation
    * Ensuring effective financial management
    * Preparing and present financial reports
    * Ensuring compliance with legislation
    * Ensuring appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place
    * Attending board meetings

    Takes place:
    morningsafternoonsevenings
    Mondays
    Tuesdays
    Wednesdays
    Thursdays
    Fridays
    Saturdays
    Sundays

    Training provided:Induction training - roles and responsibilities, general housekeeping. Inhouse training for the role/handover from previous treasurer. 1 to 1 volunteer support, further relevant training available.
    Experience required:Experience in accounting and finance would be appreciated.

    Travel DetailsCommittee meetings take place once a month at 10am on a Tuesday at Kelty Community Centre, 90-92 Main Street KY4 0AQ. Parking is available. The Centre is on the following bus routes from Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline -7, 17, 18, 31, X56.
