SMMC Fire Response Team Service

Last updated: 04/02/2026 (more than 6 months ago)SMMC provides the crew for the Fire Response Team at Knockhill Circuit, Scotland's national motorsport centre and the only FIA approved circuit in Scotland.
The Fire Response Team responds to incidents on the track, in the pits or in the paddock areas, using fast response vehicles specially equipped to deal with car fires (including EVs). Rescue Units and the Fire Response Vehicles are required to be at the scene of an incident within approximately 90 seconds of leaving their stand-by location.
