They are voluntary organisations set up by statute by local authorities and run by local residents to act on behalf of their areas. The Community Council is a great way to find out what’s going on in the community and the surrounding area. They are also the elected voice back to Fife Council on your behalf. The council are consulted on a wide range of issues affecting the village including planning, transport, health and education. They are particularly keen to have a Young People’s Community Council Member (16+) to provide a voice for young people in our community.
