Last updated: 28/01/2026 (more than 6 months ago)Established in 1992, the Kingdom of Fife Railway Preservation Society is a registered charity which is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. Fife Heritage Railway restores steam and diesel locomotives providing open days and train rides to the public on selected days. Their aim is to preserve Fife’s railway heritage. As a heritage railway, they are open to visitors and are establishing a series of open days in which restored trains will take passengers for demonstration trips. The society always welcome people wanting to get involved, be it rebuilding locomotives, providing refreshments or even joining as a non-working member, everyone is welcome!
