    Aims and objectivesThe Save Wemyss Ancient Caves Society aims to conserve, preserve and protect the natural heritage of the Wemyss Caves and their historically important carvings for the benefit of the public; to create some form of permanent protection for the caves; to maintain and develop the coastal area in which the caves are situated; to provide education to the public by publicising the caves and their carvings; to work with local interested educational establishments to provide a platform for study in the interests of ancient heritage; to collect archival materials on the caves.
