    The Big House Multibank exists to relieve poverty and improve wellbeing for children and families across Scotland by providing access to essential household goods, while also reducing waste. They collect surplus new and unused items such as bedding, clothing, toiletries, baby products and cleaning essentials from retailers and manufacturers. Where donated supply does not meet need, they purchase priority items at cost price. Goods are stored and distributed from their warehouse in Lochgelly, supported by satellite hubs in Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh. Support is delivered through a trusted network of referral partners including schools, health visitors, social workers and community organisations, who request specific items for the families they support. This ensures help is targeted, dignified and based on real need. Since 2022, they have redistributed over 2.7 million essential items to families across Scotland.
