    Post: Digital Inclusion Officer
    Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 12 months
    Salary: 29,320.00-32,411.00 per annum
    Location: Hybrid - Glenrothes and home working


    YMCA Glenrothes is looking for a highly motivated and skilled communicator for a new innovative digital support project to help people get online and improve management of their own health and care needs. The digital inclusion officer will: 

    • Support vulnerable people in sheltered housing, supporting them to get online and access digital tools to manage their health and care needs
    • Cascade learning to staff working in Fife Council's sheltered housing to improve their digital skills and confidence, encourage participation and develop group activities
    • Meet individuals referred by health and social care and other services at the newly opened Independent Living and Advice Hub in Kirkcaldy

    This role will require working across the whole of Fife with access to own transport, with mileage expenses paid.

    • A strong passion for promoting digital literacy and bridging the digital divide
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to effectively support vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds
    • Proficient in using various technology devices, software applications, and online platforms
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
