Health and Social Care Forum - November
Created: 14/10/2020, Updated: 30/10/2020Our next Health and Social Care Forum will run on Thursday 12 November 2020 at 10:00 to 11:30. Book a place here.
We will be welcoming a team from NHS Fife to discuss the new national approach to urgent care. The first part of which is to develop a single route of access to urgent care across Scotland.
Helping people get the right care, in the right place
This new approach will be tested in NHS Ayrshire and Arran throughout November to inform a national launch planned for December. This national change to urgent care will be supported by £20 million of investment and a major public information campaign to enable people to get the right care in the right place.
To progress this Health Boards have been commissioned to develop and implement a local flow and navigation centre by Autumn 2020. There has been a lot of learning and new ways of working to manage urgent care throughout the Covid 19 response and NHS Fife want to engage with all parters to ensure that Fife's centre will support people to receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time. This will involve increased consultations using digital platforms such as near me as well as traditional face to face consultations and the team want to engage with the sector to include your knowledge and experience in this development.
Our forum is open to any third sector organisation working within the health and social care sector in Fife. The forum is a fantastic space for third sector colleagues to come along and hear about key developments in health and social care in Fife and Nationally, discuss significant issues and network with other third sector organisations.
