    About the Role

    Two electricians are needed to join a team of multi-skilled operatives. The role will involve carrying out a wide range of electrical work across all the organisation's properties and offices. This includes installations, the smoke and heat detector programme, EICRs and all other electrical work. In addition, there will be some minor multi-trade work such as basic joinery and plumbing.

    About You

    You should be a qualified electrician or approved electrician. You will carry out periodic inspections, repairs and alterations to housing stock and offices. Previous experience in a maintenance environment is desirable. You must also be able to demonstrate a flexible approach, as you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours emergency call rota. In addition to the on-call service, evening and weekend work will be required to meet needs of the service. You must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach and enthusiasm for your work and should be able to work well on your own and as part of a team of multi-skilled operatives.

    Whilst the depot is based in Glenrothes, you will work at any of the organisation's properties or staff bases throughout east central Scotland, Perth and the surrounding areas. A van, some tools, and testing equipment will be provided. A current and valid driving licence is essential.

    You will be required to complete a satisfactory Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland check.
