Houston, USA: The Free Vietnamese Solidarity Committee in Houston continues its campaign on the community to send truthful news to Vietnam to break the current restriction on information imposed by the Hanoi authorities. The October 25, 1998 session was held in front of the Que Huong Supermarket - the community business center.

Old and young Vietnamese joined the campaign by donating postage, working as campaigners, or taking materials home for periodic mailing to Vietnam.

In a separate event on the same day, Vietnamese in Houston joined in a community prayer at Pagoda Phat Quang for the well-being and safe return of political prisoners currently incarcerated in Vietnam. Another session was held at the Ramada Inn in southwest Houston for the same purpose.
